SAN FRANCISCO - June 10, 2019 - After two years of research and development, Dalton Alexander presents #Whitenoise, a complete solo evening exploring media and its effect on the body for a limited engagement at Studio 210 in the Mission District of San Francisco in August.

#Whitenoise strives to collide nostalgia for the past with current American affairs. It is a form of protest against social media, its false sense of importance to the individual, but sweeping effect on the collective.

“For 10 performances, I will explore the effect information overload from media - mainstream & social, and various modes of dispersal - has on my human body in relation to my return to the US from Europe,” Alexander said. “What becomes of a projected patriotism that is stomped on? Of a pride that has turned to disgust?

“Each performance welcomes a new experience, a different audience, a different being. While I challenge you to question your own relation to media and the US, I also challenge myself to explore the same situation again and again and again, finding new every time (or failing and falling flat, smashing into the ground and rolling over broken plastic).”

Performances of #Whitenoise take place:

August 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 and 24 at 8pm

August 11, 12, 18, and 25 at 7pm

Tickets are $8-$25 and available at  https://whitenoisesolo.eventbrite.com

Press tickets available for previews Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10 at 8pm.
